I too suffer from foot-activated liftgate syndrome...I've been near smacked so many times in so many different ways (walking past, hitching/unhitching trailer, loading bikes on rack, etc.) I'm afraid to go anywhere near it.
I'll definitely bring up TSB 19-2162 next time I'm in to the dealer and report back how it goes. Crossing my fingers that's a good fix.
