Hi Everyone I’ve been a lurker on this forum for while and have already so much and am now in need of assistance. Last week when i turned on my rear wiper it would move my lift gate in a shifting or twisting motion. I wasn’t able to get a video before the rear wiper stopped working altogether has anyone else encountered this issue?

My guess is the shaft where it goes through the glass seized up. It's a common issue if you do a search, you'll find instructions on how to fix it. If you open just the rear glass, you should be able to rotate the wiper easily by hand. If you can't, the shaft is most likely corroded and was binding up and finally seized.

Same thing happened on my Gen 3 Expy. If the arm is hard to move while the glass is open that's the problem. I bought a replacement "transmission" to solved the problem. OP might need a wiper puller to get the wiper arm off of the old transmission. I did.
