Removing rear air overhead controls

Could someone please tell me if the overhead controls (the entire pod) the ones above the second seat just pop off or is ther some disassembly required to get access to them. BTW this is in a 98 EB.

Attrached is a zip file with the instructions on how to remove the overhead rear climate control unit. It seems to just slip off without anything holding it in except plastic tabs.
