I haven't really looked lately but have been told I cant remove the oil pan with out removing the front suspension.

Any ideas to get off to check things out and clean it out?

Do you have a 4x4 of 4x2? If 4x4, just have to lower the front axle housing a bit to allow for clearance.

I was hoping to change out my oil pan gasket as well. I have a 1998 5.4L, 4X4. Does anyone have experience and/or instructions on lowering the front axle housing? That looks like it could get a bit involved.

Thanks.......
