Replacement Roof Panel

I've been looking for a replacement front roof panel to fix the rust around the top of my windshield. Ford used to sell such a thing but now it is no longer available.

I've tried the other sources, deep searches on google, etc.

Anyone know any better? Maybe there is a southern US wrecking yard that specializes in cutting up wrecks for this kind of thing? I'd check locally but anything I find up here will likely be rusty.

Just want to double check before manually banging out a new panel (time intensive with the curves up there).

You will have better luck fixing it yourself. I think you are handy with tools. May come out cheaper.

Yeah, everything I've seen - including obsoleted NOS Ford panels - are more than I want to pay. If I could get the front 20-30 cm of the roof for under $200 I'd do it but otherwise I'll just make it myself.
