replacing the G.E.M module

hey, everyone this is Patrick, I need some help please I need to replace the G.E.M module I think my has shorted for all the years of the windshield top left corner leaking. has anybody ever replace their G.E.M module if so how much of a pain in the butt is it to take out and put back in? can anybody please help me wit this issue any and all help is greatly appreciated.
