Hi all,
I was working on the center console for my sat radio and ended up making a wrong move and broke a small piece of the shifter assembly...
Do you think I need to worry about replacing the piece below?
Model: Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer 2008 (standard length)
Piece I broke: It is a small spring loaded, white piece of plastic that follows the shifter along providing some kind of resistance or clicking. It does not appear to cause issues with shifting or driving at the moment.. It can be found on the passenger side of the shift assembly.
I have attached a picture here -- http://i.imgur.com/ZOehDAL.png

I have found a number of assemblies ranging from $80 to 300 -- part number 8L1Z7210B appears to be close.
Thank you so much for your help!
