Yes ... and sometimes you need to remove the battery power AND let it sit long enough (without power) for capacitors to discharge before repowering & restarting.

With Microsoft Windows, you sometimes need to do several reboots over 24 hours - allowing it to finish updating itself after each reboot.

Sometimes you don't need a reboot, you need to give it the boot!
