Reverse Sensing System

I am trying to troubleshoot why system isn't working, I put the vehicle in reverse the light in the console comes on like the system is cut off, I have also backed up near a tree and nothing, any ideas?

First go to ford etis and enter your vin number to see if you do indeed have factory Parking aid

Look before backing?
In the trucking industry we had a saying of "GOAL - Get Out And Look" before backing.
Seems like to much added nonsense on cars today.

from what I have read ( and take this with a grain of salt because 01-02 expie parking aid system has virtually no info on it anywhere ) if the system will active in drive but deactivates once put into reverse it usually means one or more of your sensors is out / disconnected.

I have the full troubleshooting tree from ford but its a secured website and I cant figure out how to get it from website to PDF without losing the pictures and you really need the pictures...

Well it breaks it down step by step with pictures for each test so I would have to do that about 30 times then totally re format it with the text and well, that's just too much work lol

I have figured it is the right outside sensor, but I can't figure how to get it out of the bumper, any ideas and part # for a 2001?
