Searched all over and many threads on 20s vs 18 vs 22 but wondering about it from a ride quality standpoint with a lift and larger sidewall.
Had 275 65 r18 SL rated and no lift and while the ride was smoothed out a ton I really didnt like the cornering wobbly feeling. Granted these came with oem take off wranglers and I know oem tires are always lower quality.
Want to move to a 2in RC lift and level it out a bit which I realize will stiffen the suspension a bit as well. Platinum with CCD.
Trying to decide on a new setup woth the lift to achieve a balance of handling and ride quality but also have a good look with AT tires.
Option 1: go up in sidewall and load rating on 18s. 285 70r18 or even 75r18
Option 2: move to a 20 285 65 r20. So the 20s would have more sidewall than stock size but also likely an LT rated or E rated tire.
Anyone have any thoughts?
