I was just looking at the posts on the radiator support rust problem. Not very encouraging

Any views on what to apply to the existing rust on the frame to slow it down? I've read POR15 but i've never used it. I have used some stuff by Eastwood.

I used a NAPA product that you either spray on or paint on and it bonds to the rust and encapsulates it with a black polymer coating. It works pretty good on surface rust but if it down to that flakey rust that crunches when you squeeze it, it's too far gone for that stuff to be of any use. I just can remember the name. Its available at most auto parts stores.
