Select button/compass screen in 2002 expedition wont work

Every time i get in my expedition and start it my compass/select button thing on the celing doesnt turn on. I push the button, i hold it down, nothing happens. A few lights in the ceiling werent working either but i opened those up and just moved em a bit and they worked again, could this be the same case for my compass/select screen?
