Setting CarPlay Volume???

Hi:

Probably a very dumb question, but here goes:

The CarPlay audio volume when I am running Google Maps is too loud- I feel like I'm being shouted at with the turn-by-turn directions

How do I turn this volume down?

I've tried both the System/Ford audio volume knob, and the volume setting on the side of my iPhone, and neither does anything.

Ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I had a similar issue with my new 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe Premier 4WD while using Apple Car Play.

I returned to the dealer and learned that while the spoken maps directions are being broadcast, you can turn down (or up) the maps spoken volume using the radio volume knob.

On my Tahoe, the radio volume label on the screen turns to a maps volume label while adjusting the maps volume (while the directions are being broadcast).

Like 99WhiteC5Coupe said, adjust the volume while maps directions are being spoken. Took me a little while to find it too when I first got the truck.
