New to site but not new to Expedition nor to forums.
Just got a 2004 Eddie Bauer (I previously had a 2003 Eddie Bauer several years back) and it came with two issues:
1) Shift Indicator only moves from N to 1; will not move to P or R, though the actual shifter and transmission works fine with all gears.
Is there a DIY or guideline to fix this?
2) Sideview mirrors do not operate but everything else works.
According to the manual, fuse #3 protects the side mirrors plus "Driver seat switch (memory), and "Memory module (logic power)." I assume since my driver's power seat still works, that the fuse is still good (haven't actually checked it yet, but will confirm later today). Is this indicative of a faulty mirror control switch needing replacement?
TIA!
EDIT:
Also just discovered:
3) Keyless entry pad doesn't appear to work; the driver's door doesn't unlock after entering the factory code or other locks when 3•4 pressed after code, nor do the locks lock when pressing 7•8 and 9•0 simultaneously.
Remote FOB works just fine, however.
FYI, regarding mirrors, fuse #3 and #109 are both good.
