Signal mirror swap questions

I want to swap out my mirrors for a set of heated turn signal mirrors but my question is, does anyone know if the defrost and turn signal will work off of the existing wire harness as is, or is additional wiring needed? I know on my 03 Crown Vic Interceptor it had the same wire harness as the higher end models because there were connections for options my Vic didn't have but they were just hooked to dummy clips behind trim panels on the dash and doors. I was hoping the Expedition was the same way so they would possibly just be pnp which is not usually my luck. Any input would be appreciated.

I'm not sure. I would say call the dealer and ask or pop the panels off and look

Hmm, well my XLT came with heated mirrors. Lemme see if I can see the wire colors. But I do remember them just being spade connectors (almost looked aftermarket.)

Either way, I think there might be a write up somewhere here, where someone did the swap. If not, do as sgtowing suggest, and take a peek. Not that hard to take off the door panel (plenty of write ups on here for that).

Thanks guys, I'm gonna call the dealer tomorrow & see what info they can give me. It's been in single digits here so I was a little hesitant to try to remove the panels until it warms up a bit. It's supposed to be in the 40s & 50s the next 3 days so I'll take a peek at it this week.

I did a quick search but only came across 1 other thread with my same question but no one had responded to it.

Well I called the dealer and the only info they could really give me is that since my expy has almost every option that it could be wired for the EB\Limited mirrors already but I'd have to hook 1 up to see for sure. He said he had seen 2 different ones that didn't have fog light and 1 had the wires ran for them and the other 1 didn't so I guess it'***** or miss when it comes to the wiring. So as soon as it stops raining I'll tear it apart and see what I can find.
