The government threatened to take away my paycheck so here is my little way to give the one finger salute to "the man". So I took the "long" way home from work today and had a blast.

This hill was somewhere around 35%-40% grade and the Expy made it almost to the top (in 4 low) before I was getting to much wheel spin trying to get through a washed out spot.

So steep that I had fuel coming out of the filler cap even though I only had a half tank of fuel!

I took it slow up the hill since it had several washed out spots that would have left me high centered if I hit em' wrong. But once I got past the wash outs I floored it but let off so I didn't break a u-joint and get stranded in my nearly 3 ton toy and have to hump it the almost 5 miles back to civilization.

To be fair I have seen a couple lifted jeeps that were running 37's that couldn't make it to the top of that hill.

well as long as heeps couldnt make it then its all good. i was going to buy a u-joint and slip yolk from a guy on craigslist, but i never got around to getting it. im mad cause now i dont have it just in case. haha but yeah i dont blame you for not trying to do it harder. sometimes when i go up steep hills im like should i? then i floor it and im like thank god that didnt go wrong.

I almost had to come out of 2WD in the mud today when I sunk her pretty good, but I put the expy in reverse and she came right out. The only time it went into 4 wheel drive was when I went 4LO up that steep hill.

Looks great!! I can't wait to get mine up in the mountains this summer, but will have to find me some wheeling partners cuz it would only be stupid to get stuck way up in the middle of nowhere. Way to show up them heeps!!

I just wish there were some other expy owners around here that would go hit the trails with me. I have yet to see a lifted expy or even one with decent all terrain tires in my area.

I need to set up my video camera next time and get some good footage of the huge rooster tails this thing throws.

Who said I'm gonna clean it? :naughty: It is parked in my driveway right now taunting all the other SUV's that drive by and never even touch a tire to mud. I might take it to the car wash in a week or so when I get tired of looking at it.
