Hi Everyone,
I bought a 2013 Limited 2wd that has factory navigation sync. Neither the USB or AUX inputs in the center console are working. The bluetooth connection also does not work. Some more on the bluetooth:
1. Hit phone button on the radio, it says nothing is connected.
2. Go to connect, it shows a screen that should have a code, but the code is blank.
3. We fiddled with this at the dealership when we purchased it, and we were able to get the code after about an hour.
4. The bluetooth stopped working when they delivered it, and I have not been able to connect since.
The USB has no power and the AUX option does not show up in the menu when you hit the media button.
Using voice to request AUX does not work and the lady tells me it is unavailable.
Right now, I am using the rear aux inputs to feed sound to the radio.
I am thinking the Sync module is fried. I took the center console apart and got the part number, which is:
CE5T-14D212-AC
When looking around online, it looks like there are many comparable parts with different part numbers, but I have found one that is an exact match. I have seen that the dealership will have to flash a replacement, but maybe I can use Forscan to do the same.
I am debating if it is worth the price to get a new part and then have it flashed, especially since it seems that these things seem to have lots of problems, but this is my first car with factory GPS, and if the inputs worked I would love to keep the system.
Does anyone know if getting the exact same part number will be a plug and play? If a used part needs to be flashed anyway, is there a more recent comparable version that fixes some of the hardware bugs?
I don't mind getting a new head unit if I can keep the reverse camera, rear seat controls, rear seat heaters, and all that good stuff.
Hopefully someone can help me out, I have read every search result on APIM and Sync 1, which is what I believe I have in the system.
Thanks
