Speed Sensative Steering. Cant find pigtail to pump.

I have a 99 Eddie Bauer 4x4 5.4 without air ride. I bought it in excellent condition except the motor was knocking. I located a 5.4 from a junk yard from a 99 f150 4x4 low miles, I then had a shop do the motor swap. So ive noticed my steering is always incredibly sensative so I looked at the power steering pump and the wire is not plugged in. Me and several friends have tried numerous times locating the wire and cannot find it. Is it possible my expedition did not have speed sensative steering and the f150 did? I thought all 99's had this. Also I did my homework and I have the 5.4 PI engine and replaced it with a 5.4 PI engine that both from the windsor plant.

I would go to the auto parts store and have them look up the ps pump for your truck and see if it has the plug on it. If it doesn't, then you may just have to swap it out for the correct pump. (or the original one, if the shop still has it)

The F150 pump may just be running full out without any sensor input.

Now, if the truck feels 'darty', like it veers off when you give it some steering input, you may just have some worn steering or suspension parts that need attention.

If everything looks good, a steering stabilizer may help.

good idea, i should have mentioned I already did that and every pump I find has the sensor in it and none of the parts stores ask with or with variable assist. they all show the pump with the sensor.
