Steering wheel clicking

1998 Expedition steering wheel clicks behind the airbag when the steering is turned sounds like a spring wound to tight .Thanks for any help i posted this yesterday in the wrong section so Im hopeful for some response now.

I do believe the clock spring may of broke or yes has gotten itself too tight. Although I can't imagine that happening if the steering wheel has not been taken off. The clicking could be the tab the turn signal switch has raised due to a loose screw or something. Make sure when checking it when the steering wheel comes off hold the clock sring so it does not disengage and unwind on you. Good Luck.
