Steering Wheel Swap

I want to know if a steering wheel from a '98 Navigator would swap directly to my '98 Ex XLT. I like the look and feel of the wood steering wheel and would really like to do the switch if it would work.

The short answer is yes it fill fit, but the extra navigator controls like the radio buttons will not work(unless you want to some extreme wiring ect.) They have aftermarket wheels that looks just like the navigators, without the extra buttons, so it would be a perfect replacement. Here is a site with some steering wheels to get you started.

$335 + core! Ha, you could probablt get ford to make you one for that! Silver, this is stang. If you do want to undertake this project, I bet I can find the parts for you from a junkyard, and we'll find a wiring diagram to make the controls work. I can help you out and post it all over at my board (this is stang99x by the way) I have a 98 Navi, so I have everything in front of me anyway. Let me know if you want to try and I'll see about finding the wheel
