Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation?

Hebrews 1:14

Angels are the unseen attendants of the children of God; they carry us in their hands and keep us from calamity. Loyalty to their Lord leads them to take a deep interest in the children of His love; they rejoice over the return of the prodigal to his father's house below, and they welcome the arrival of the believer to the King's palace above.
In ancient times the children of God were able to actually see the angels. Today, although we do not see them, heaven is still open, and the angels of God ascend and descend upon the Son of man, so that they may visit the heirs of salvation. Seraphim still fly with live coals from the altar to touch the lips of men greatly loved.
If our eyes could be opened, we would see horses and chariots of fire surrounding the servants of the Lord; for we have come to an innumerable company of angels, who are all watchers and protectors of the King's family. Spenser's line is not poetic fiction, where he sings–
How oft do they with golden pinions cleave
The flitting skies, like flying pursuivant
Against foul fiends to aid us militant!

To what dignity are the chosen elevated when the brilliant courtiers of heaven become their willing servants! Into what communion are we raised since we have communion with spotless celestials! How well are we defended since all the twenty thousand chariots of God are armed for our deliverance!
To whom do we owe all this? The Lord Jesus Christ who must be forever dear to us, for through Him we are made to sit in heavenly places far above principalities and powers. It is He whose camp is around those that fear Him; He is the true Michael whose foot is upon the dragon. All hail, Jesus! Angel of Jehovah's presence, to You this family offers its morning vows.

Are we not all angels from God, the holy messengers; to help guide, lead all of those around us. AMEN and his people said: AMEN

Chappy, I have problems with people worshiping their own way. now, when you have to go door to door in "fear of my soul", that is where for me the line gets crossed. The need to go to a building to do your praying to me doesn't signify your religious belief. For me, it is what you do during the time between your church sessions that makes a "true believer" and not. A person who swears like a sailor (as the saying goes) and drinks like a fish to me isn't much of a believer when the scripture talks about maintaining your self control. I would call someone a "bigger believer" that takes their time each day to spend 5 minutes helping someone that the person that goes to church for 2 hours on Sunday to "confess their sins".

But then, this is coming from a guy that slept with his feet against nuclear tipped missiles in the name of peace. I have to admit, I don't attend a regular service. I use the "be good to all your fellow man" as my basic belief. Besides, who is to say that YYYY belief system is correct and all others are going to go to ______ (fill in your bad spot). Who is to say that your way is wrong and someone elses is right? I can't recall anyone being able to say beyond a shadow of a doubt that YYYY religion is perfect. We can find faults in all religions. Hence why I get back to my view of "be good to all mandkind". Granted, if I had to pick a religion, I would call myself "Pagan". Once you truely understand the pagan system, it isn't the "hoocus poocus" that everyone thinks it is.

What will you do when the day comes and the spiritual being says, "Y'all come on up to Aunt Martha's Big House for some grub". Think about it, it has about as much merit as other religions.

Thermo, I do understand...everyone has their own beliefs and principals...going to church every Sunday does not make you anymore a Christian, than standing in your garage for 2 hours, make you a car...its what you do between prayer and church...Im not a avid church goer, but I pray anywhere, and the service I give of myself to others in time of need is my self full-fulfillment.

Baker, let me start off by saying that everyone is entitled to believe what they want. Am I a believer in religon, no. Do I believe in something greater than us, yes. I was born Jewish but do not practice. I am ok with little comments here and there but I do not like being "preached to". If you can get a seperate thread (maybe even sticky it), preach to your hearts content. As long as I dont have to be apart of something I don't want to. I am all for people believing if thats what makes them happy.

I have been to church, and i have learned about god and how to treat others. I choose not to go because i dont like being told there is one certain way to worship my lord. And i know that there are expenses to running a church and giving back to the community thats why we "pass the plate", but does it really take a 10 million dollar church?

I am skeptical, and leery of the whole church as a place to worship.

But i would like to see maybe a section for your words of the Lord. Sometimes reading some scripture in the morning can set the day down the right path!
