Has anyone converted their factory coil springs to the factory air ride on the 03-06 expeditions? I know it is kind of backwards from what most are doing, but i thought that it would accomplish what i am wanting...I would like to add the factory air ride and a on board controller to adjust the ride, and since people are getting rid of these by the hand-fulls they are pretty cheap to get. Basically would this just be removing the strut and installing these and wiring them up?

Springs are the least maintenance costly way to go. If you go to air, then you will be spending alot of money to repair or replace. I would not convert it to air, stay air free.
