The color of the light depends on the "k" value of the bulb. 12000k bulbs are a deep purple, 10000k are a deep blue, 8000k (which I have on my 98 Expy) are ice blue, 6000k (on my wifes 03 Sable) are very light purple but the light appears white when inside looking out at the road. 5000k has just a hint of blue and 4300k are almost pure white. Keep in mind the fact that the higher the # the more color in the light but the less reflected light so it will not be as bright from inside looking out on the road.HTH
