I am ready to install a Pioneer AVH-4200 head unit w/ iPod adapter, and two 7" head rest monitors. I have a nice pioneer amp and wanna add a subwoofer for bass. I have a large family and don't want to take up space by using a traditional sub box. Just wondering what options there are for me. Maybe just replacing the stock sub with a better one? What do you guys think?

Gotcha. I just don't have the money or patience to tear the thing down like that. My wife drives it everyday

Im in a similar boat. I am wanting a sub but I cant stand having things that dont look stock, not to mention I use the cargo area for..... cargo!. I would love to just replace the stock sub and amp and and just use the existing stock space but I cant get too crazy and I heavent heard of any SOLID stories of just replacing the stock sub and having great sound from it...
Would be nice if I could rely on riding my bike everyday so I could just tear apart the truck.

Same here, as soon as the snow melts my expedition won't leave the driveway unless I am going fishing or need to take my kids somewhere. I ride my bike whenever I get the chance. It makes my 300 + miles of commuting each week alot cheaper since I can get around 40 mpg if I stay out of the throttle. I am thinking about doing a sub underneath my second row seat on the drivers side since the wide side on the 60/40 split is a pain to flip up anyway.

I would love to get my hands on a JL Stealthbox again. Had one in my 03 and sounded awesome!!! Now they dont make it anymore and I cant even find a used one. I had both amps under the middle row buckets and it looked great. Completely stock looking and complete aftermarket sound.
