Well after finding out that I definitely had the infamous oil weep from the passenger side head I considered replacing the gasket but I'm still not sure this truck is worth all that so I was contemplating just living with it like so many do. I got thinking about it and many times on our racecars we use a spray leak sealer and had good luck with it so I decided it couldn't hurt to try. Here's what I did. I got a can of Permatex Spray leak sealer. It's kind of hard to find. Got mine off eBay for $12. I jacked up the RF and pulled the wheel off, of course after putting stands under it. I pulled the inner wheel well out (about 6 screws). Just to make it it easier I pulled the trans dipstick out to give me more room. Put a pan under your trans as fluid will leak out. I then repeatedly sprayed degreaser, carb cleaner and brake cleaner (everything I had around) in the area of the leak. I did this many times to get as much debris and oil out as possible. Doing this you're flying blind but you can definitely get in the area good. After I cleaned it good and dried it with air I then sprayed the sealer in the area. It sprays as a liquid and has a wicking formula so it seeps in all the holes. I actually taped a straw from my carb cleaner to the straw that came with the sealer to make it longer so I could keep the can upright while spraying. I just sprayed the hell out of the area. The can recommends 4-5 coats one minute apart. I actually just kept going until the can was empty. Probably 8-9 coats. Again you can't see where you are spraying so I just made sure to spray in every direction I could. I let the truck sit overnight and have been driving it since daily and I have not had any signs of it leaking. It was smoking pretty bad before the repair. I don't know how long this will last but it's a lot better then the oil burning smell every time I'm sitting still. I'll attach a pic of what I bought. I'm sure people will have opinions of why this is wrong and if something bad comes from this I'll update but I can't see where it would hurt anything.
