THat suits me just fine. Just bought a 2011 this January, and want it to look new for a while longer.

I did notice that they were adding the Integrated trailer brake controller. I wonder where it will be mounted if the interior stays the same?

So no new engines either? With the 5.0 and Ecoboost as much of an improvement in the F-150 you would think we would be thrown a bone.

They wont do anything with a new engine until the redesign of the truck.

Heh, they probably won't change it till they are about to change the F150. Seems the past two generations, the Expedition gets a facelift, followed by the F150 in the following model year.

It looks like the EL will also be around for the 2013 model year, too. Wouldn't be surprised if sticks around for the fourth generation, since GM has already set up plans to release the 12th generation Suburban/Yukon XL (2014 Model Year) in Fall 2013.

EL will definitelly be there because it is used as a fleet and livery car everywhere same as Lincoln Navigator L. Would not be suprised if they sell more extended versions then regular ones.

Agreed. An Ecoboost Expy might be enough to get me to step up from my 07 to a 13. I would think it would just about drop in.

Are you listening Ford?

Here is a pic from the Ford site.

I wonder if this would work with prior 3rd gen.

+1. EcoBoost would be a great improvement to the Expy. My guess is it requires a modification to the front frame rails to fit, though, so probably not until the 2014 or 2015 model year. (The F150 had a minor revision before that engine could be added).

only if you convert the gear selector...so you'd have to get an entire new dash/console...i am will to be 100% positive that its not work it unless youre rebuilding it from inside out

FREEWAY, I'm not sure if I follow what you're saying. The 2007 and up 3rd gens have the same basic dash/console setup as the one pictured. The piece the integrated brake unit is mounted in is actually a piece that is on all 3rd gens. (see pic below) My question was if it will work with any 2007 and up ( prior to 2013 ) by just replacing that piece and plugging it in to the factory trailer brake plug under the dash.

What are the two things to the left of the lighter? One looks like an input jack?

My 2012 looks more like the 2013 you posted. Lighter is dead center.

On the 07 and 08's the aux jack was on the dash instead of in the center console and in the middle is the Ford Mobile Ease Bluetooth. (this was before they had sync) phone plays thru factory stereo pausing and muting the music.

I have a 2012 and would love to replace my aftermarket brake controller with this. Is it possible? How much would it cost and what parts would I need

Thats exactly what I was asking. I dont think it's available yet as a seperate part. The do sell the ones for the F150's and say they can be added as long as the truck came with the HD Tow package, but the cluster needs a program update to recognize the brake controller so we will have to wait and see.

If the Expediton's brake controller is like the F150 and Superduty brake controllers, it won't be an inexpensive upgrade.

You will have to replace the master cylinder and some other electronics.

I have the integrated brake controllerr in my 2005 F250. It's a great controller. When I bought my 2008 expedition, I installed aProdigy. Works as advertised, but not as seamless as the integrated unit in my F 250.

I'm still hoping for towing mirrors. Hopefully, the next generation Expeditions will keep the same door design so if Ford does release towing mirrors, I cam get some for my truck.
