Bought brand new spindles from fabtech last spring. About 3000 miles on them... But my bearings suddenly and randomly exploded completely ruining my brand new spindles. DEEP scraches all over it from the bearing being destroyed.

The 4 wheel parts store didn't even mention that my bearings should be matienced.

They were 100% fine so i didn't check or replace them. But the grease was all burnt. The parts store who installed them didn't even say a word or look at the condition of the bearings...

Gunna take the spindle to them tomorrow and see what i can do..

Any words of advice? I'll post pics asap. THanks :nono::shrug:

DR3W, the spindle should have a race on it that can be replaced, restoring the spindle back to fairly new condition. If this is not the case, then you are looking at having a plating build up and machining to restore the surface back to where it should be. For the cost of this, odds are you are going to be better off getting new spindles. I wish the news was better, but that is the short of it.

Any way to like fiill the grooves with anything? Like a weld then grind it down...

DR3W, all you can do is to talk to a machine shop and see what they will say. If you can bring them in a spindle, that will help them give you a more accurate price assessment. Sure, welding is an option, but with hardened steel like you need for spindles, heating it up with welding is not necessarily a good idea.
