Thinking of change!

Possibly a different hood? I kinda want a cowl but then again I have never seen a hood like mine.




I also want to possibly change the front bumper to a lightning or possibly a harley style. Not sure about that either because I haven't seen anyone with a bumper like mine


I also want to add some kind of side skirts or something. I am not a fan of my side steps and when I took them off it looked way to high.
As for the rear bumper I think I am goning to add a white painted one this week and keep the upper bumper pad black


As for my motor I am going to weld all my visible pipes and in the next few weeks ill probably rip apart my SC and changed all the bearings. I already got the bearings and I just bought a bearing slid hammer so it should go quick. I am also going to switch to SCT and retune on the dyno. Joy!




What would you guys change on my beast? I thought about different wheels too but I dont think I am done with these yet.

I kinda like the looks of your expy as is! Like you said it is unique. I have seen no others like it.

I would swap your blower for a novi 2000 or something that you could really crank up the boost!! Of course you may want to throw some better rods in her first.

I like the novi idea! I have been looking at other blowers too. I think that change is in the future. I may buy the billet impeller this month too but not sure yet because its 475$ and I am not so sure if the gains would be worth it.

I thought about that too. It is all carbon fiber now and was thinking about taking gloss white vinyl wrap and wrapping around the sides and front pretty much leaving the middle still black CF and the rest white. Its hard to explain but I think it would look good.

I like the hood you have. Except, I would color match it. I have never been a fan of the ricer black hood thing though.... Some racing stripes would make it pretty unique.
As far as your front bumper, the chrome lower valance is cool as hell! Wouldn't mind having one for my '98.
Besides painting the hood, I personally wouldn't change much (if anything) on the exterior.

I painted my bumper with white plastidip over the summer and liked it. Of course you can see I sensed peeled it off. How hard is it to paint chrome and would it last if I were to do so? As for the hood, It is real carbon fiber and I wraped it with 4D carbon fiber wrap to protect it. It was a 1200 dollar hood in its day. I also bought Gloss white wrap so I could color match it but was quickly talked out of that. I also tried the rollpan thing but thought it looked funny because the windshield wiper and other stuff stuck out. Now that I shaved everything on the back it might not look so bad now. I just sold it too....

I would change the wheels because those are way overrated and frankly ugly expecially on expedition. Change hood to match the car bro. That theme doesn't work well with expys.

The billit impeller will help a psi or 2. You can easly off set $200 of it by selling your old on on ebay. When I listed my old powerdyne impeller on ebay it was sold in a hour. Hard to get now days.

Tax return time so maybe upgrade time and sell the kt you have now and up the boost. I think thoses gt500 setup look cool on our 5.4s. I bet you could do for $2500 or so.

Could always score a second BD 11 and make her a twin centr set up??

I really wish all of us supercharged expys lived closer. It would be awesome to have a get together and check out the different combinations and setups. Have a cruise, etc...

Yeah that would be fun. I would love to check out all the setups. Really gives a guy a chance to see a different approach.

I have to say I like it as is too. Unique, it stands out on it's own.

The hood is great, the most I might do is cover match it. Maybe a step up in rim size, but I like the color theme as is. I'd spend the $$ on the engine & drivertrain myself. But that's just opinion.

Thanks! Vent do work. I can put my hand over them i feel the hot air. Really noticeable in the summer. I am not sure how well it works when I am driving but I got to imagine that it draws the heat out then. There also isn't much obstruction around the underneath the hood stopping it from coming out the sides too. I didn't think about selling my impeller. Thats a good idea. I am the type of person that always keeps that kind of stuff tho in case the new one fails. I think I almost got enough parts to build another BD11.
