For those that have installed one, have you noticed any gains in HP/MPG? Is it worth installing one?

Any particular brand/model you'd recommend? I have an 04 expy with a 5.4

Thanks!

I have an airaid throttle body spacer, it helped out a little bit with low end power and fuel economy but i also have an intake system. mostly everyone is going to say its not worth it, I think it was worth it and if you do get one go with airaids spacer, there the best ones.

Thanks! Airaid was actually the one I was looking at...!

I plan to put in a CAI as well, would probably do both at the same time... researching those as well. I had a Fram in my other truck, but trying to figure out what would be best in the expedition. Then down the line I'll start looking at exhausts...

FOLLOW UP:

I purchased and installed the airaid throttle body spacer... I went from 11.8 mpg, to 13.2 - tested with 2 tanks of gas. Since I drive 600 miles per week, it will pay for itself in no time - haha! Response feels a little better as well.

Next is a good tune up (I just got the expy last month), CAI or gotts mod/new filter, then on to the exhaust. Like I said, I drive 600 miles per week - so anything i can do to increase the mpg and performance will pay for itself.

Anyone install an electric fan?

Here's a picture of the Airaid installed... made the installation of my Volant CAI a little tighter, but it all came together...

SG - Im happy with it - I've gotten a 1.2 mpg increase with the Airaid. A little boost in performance as well.

If you install it, you might have to turn the bracket that mounts the volant box to the fender well upside down now that it will be forward some with the throttle body spacer...
