Tires - Stock 2000 4x2 4.6L Expy

I have 16" rims on my Expy. Without any lifting or leveling, can I safely put 285/75-16 on my vehicle? If my research is accurate these would be just slightly less than 33" tires.

If not without lifting/leveling, what is the minimum amount of body lift I need for these? I'm reaching the upper bound of fitting into the garage with my roof rack on the vehicle.

I want more aggressive tires on this 4x2, and I found a good deal on some Nittos Terra Grapplers.

not certain but on a 4x4 they fit fine... might have to crank the torsion bars and trim a little off the valance
