Keep in mind I'm a newbie when it comes to this stuff, so don't come down too hard on me here!

Right now I have Chrome 22 inch 6x135 wheels. I want to get away from the "street" look and go a little more rugged...can you suggest some tires which wold help me accomplish this? Cheers!

Yeah you can get a nice set of 16 or 17's like mine for under $500. Then just get the 3/2 lift for under $200 and your set.

Coopers are good but if he wants that offroad look those rims are the first thing that has to go. Its gonna look weird with beefy tires and 22's plus with stock height I dont know how much beefier he can get.

yeah you will be limited on mud tires for your 22's unless you can fit a 37"+ tire then there are a lot of options... if you really wanna go for a offroad look... best thing would be like Sol suggested.. a 3/2 lift and sell your 22s for a set of 16-18" tire then some 33s...

I'm about to do a deal on Nitto Terra Grapplers. I think for my truck the Dune or Mud Grapplers would be just a little to aggressive looking. All are great looking tires.I'm going for the "slightly refined" aggressive look. :)

here is an aggressive tire.

but why get rid of your street look. you just got the wheels and tires. thats going to be a lose if you sell them and change.

Just doing some thinking cause I'm looking at moving to NC next year and will definitely want to make the transition then...but yeah I probably won't do it right now while i'm still in FL...just planning ahead a little (=

I'm hesitant to do a lift on the truck, cause as you all know I'm not very tech savvy, and doing a lift just adds another "point of failure" where, if something goes wrong, it's just one more thing I can't deal with myself and as such need to pay to get fixed.

Just got those cooper zeon tires, extremly knoby tires just drag down mpg. Agressive looking tires is all about the sidewall. If your worried about traction in NC, the zeon's shouldnt be bad at all, alaskanexpy had them on this excursion, IN ALASKA! I like they way your truck looks with the rims, just go with different tires!

As long as your not doing a bunch of serious off roading and tearing up your truck, you will be fine with a lift. As long as the lift is installed properly, you should not have any issues bro.
