TOW HOOKS/Brush guard

i prob should have done this in my last thread but. too late now. My expy didnt come with tow hooks. and to mount the brush guard i need the frame drilled tow hook holes. I cannot find the dimensions of these anywhere! HELP! I need diameter of the holes, distance from beginning of frame and distance between the two holes. Pictures would be greatly appreciated!

Are you sure the holes arent there and its just that you dont have the hooks

yeah im positive. its wierd it didnt come with the tow package. so they arent there.

Damn Have you looked for the f150 specs, you think they can be the same?

They are the same! BUT TRYING TO FIND THOSE PARTICULAR SPECS ONLINE is like trying to find your fishin rod in the middle of a lake. Its damn near impossible. lol any info you might know will help.!

take a picture of the frame so we can what you mean. cause as far i knew the holes were always there. but i guess i could be wrong. sounds weird.

i have found out that tow hooks only come on 4x4's. all i need is the measurement of how far back the front hole is drilled into the frame. from the front of the frame to the first bolt hole of the towhooks. Does this describe it any better?

hmm... you should still have the holes. they are square holes. thats weird. cause as far as i know when the company, could be ford, is making the frame they dont know if its going to be a 4x4 or 4x2 until later down the line. they just make them the same. but i could be wrong.

i think so. i have been reading up on other forums. and some had them and others didnt. i am just trying to get that first measurement so i can get my brushguard put on!

haha i dont blame you. have you put the bracket on the frame yet? like i mean to see where the screws go? try and put a vice on them to see where they go and then lift the brush guard up onto them. if you dont like it then move the brackets forward and back to where you want them. then drill! haha

alright im back first hole looks like the center of it is 4 1/2 inches in and the second hole is right around 7 3/4 inches in. hope this was helpful. i would have answered sooner but i couldnt find a tape measure and my tow hooks are bolted on to the bottom of the frame, not sure if they are all cause the expy that hit my corolla had different tow hooks then me mine are loops and his where actual hooks

yeah idk why their called "hooks". they are loops. but that sounds funny. tow loops. haha but SORRYY! i like being a dancing poo! but no really i havent even touched my expo since this morning to take my gf to the airport and before that about 2 days. just riding my bike around.

still cant see why you dont have holes though. ill take pics of it tomorrow if i remember. gonna do some work on it... hopefully. sea foam, install some square reverse lights on rack, not wire them, just have them there, and figure out why i have a short in my switches some where.

dont forget, there is a bracket that has to go inside the frames where the holes are. this is what actually holds the bolts into the truck. not sure what it is called.

finally.... finally. I have it put on. and its turned out great. I drilled the front hole. mounted the guard. and welded the rest of the bracket to the frame. lol It aint goin NO where..... I need to figure out how to do pictures. im having a friend shoot my car. so i shall have them up pretty soon.

SICK! take some pics. i have YET to do any of those things i said i was gonna do. i moved my light switches. that didnt do it. but its a grounding problem so i might get this fixed tomorrow. HOPEFULLY!
