Towing with a 2010 XLT

Looking at travel trailers. Wondering how much weight you guys comfortably tow with a 5.4? I know its rated for 9200 lbs ( I've got the HD towing package, auxiliary HD trans cooler and "super engine cooling system")
I just don't want to be anywhere near maxed out. You could say I'm a bit on the cautious side of things. Looking at trailers in the 24-26ft range. Thanks for any advice!

9,200 -passengers/cargo in the truck. I've towed 7,000 lbs with 1,600 lbs in the truck without major issues. I was not able to run the AC for most of the trip without the engine temp running away and the trans briefly hit 205F on a steep upgrade, but that was the worst of it. For most of the trip, the trans stayed at 185F or below and engine stayed below 200F.

Just catching up on maintenance and getting upgrades done.

Only thing left if the 3inch exhaust and a intake/tuner

That's NOT really how the math works, you were probably about 500 - 700 lbs over rated limits
