I am looking for a tuner/programmer. What are you using and why? not looking for anything to wild just pick up a little hp and improve shifts. Do any of them come with canned tunes on them? thanks.

im using a superchips 1815. im using it cause i got a good deal on it. Its for ford gas engines from 99-08 if i remember. so it can be used on many different kinds of ford vehicles(one at a time vin lock) It has the 87 performance tune, a 91 performance tune, towing, and gas saver(which i normally run). I've used the 87 performance before and it does seem to add something to the expy. With the gas saver and a heavy foot i get about 13-14 city and 17-18 hwy with my lift and 33" tires. the programmer is easy to use. its a step by step process. I changed my shift points and my tire size so my speedometer is correct.

mine has gas saver freeway. svt it runs fine with the k&n but I have a 2v vs your 3v. but I would assume that it should work fine.

I have a SCT LiveWire TS. Came with 6 tunes. Bought it from 5 Star Tuning. It will cover all the mods you want to do. It also doubles as a screen for a reverse camera.

K&n install not sure it added a lot of power but sounds better. I tuner came today at lunch and I installed the 87 tune superchips canned tune.
All I have to say is wow. I don't have # but it made a hell of a difference.
It made the expedition a lot better. It not the lightning but it is a lot of better.
I think it was well worth the money.

I found a few 1815's on ebay. Not sure if I want to buy one from there or not. Never know if it works or not.

Don't forget to check Amazon. They wanted $300 for a Flashpaq. On ebay they were $340.

I believe the difference in the cortex is that it will be more "future proof" as in the updates and future downloads will be for that, and not necessarily the older versions.
