I just bought a 2015 Expedition XLT with the HD tow and rear suspension leveling. I have two weird issues, and I'm hoping they are fixable with suspension or other adjustments. What have your experiences been with the following?:

1. Towing a toy hauler dry (6000 lb.) with HD tow package and anti-sway 1000-lb tongue wgt hitch, as soon as we hit 50 mph, it becomes more unstable and pushes the front end around. Everything gets wobbly. We already adjusted the hitch so that it's higher, which helped quite a bit, but the feeling while driving is the vehicle, not the trailer, having this issue.

2. No trailer, just hitting 80 mph on the highway, the rocking and instability and steering input from the vehicle is quite notable. It really just can't go 80.

I can only hope there is something wrong and this is fixable. What has been your experience with these issues?

Take it back to the dealer since it is under warranty.

It would also be nice to know the tongue weight when loaded & tire pressures.

Certainly can do, but was curious if it is just the way the car is or mine is particularly wonky.

It may have some issues but a wobble can turn into the death wobble if it isn't taken care of. Any time I had that it was due to light tongue weight compared to the load weight.

I'm officially not crazy -- dealer found the front steering to be off and the wheels were not turning the same and not responding properly to the steering wheel. Whew! I was really worried that this was a "normal" thing with this car. Still in repairs, so we'll see how it does towing this weekend. Crossing fingers!

Good that they found something. it's not normal. I tow a 30' TT with an 07. I never had that problem. When you tow air your tires up. If they are the p-rated go to max cold psi. If they are LT 55-60 works good. I switched from the p-rated to E rated tires this year and it made a huge difference in how stable the everything feels.
