For the older models that you're looking at, XLT and Eddie Bauer or the only versions. For the brand new ones they have redone the naming.

The kelly blue book value for a 97 XLT with the 4.6L and only 100,000 miles is only $5,500. I don't know if you pay more than blue book up there in Canada because of your location, but it looks like you should be able to find a lower mileage one in your price range.

Now have found a 1999 eddie bauer and having a look at it tomorrow. Anything in particular that I should be extra careful about? I have heard of engine coils having a lot of problems with the expedition?
