I was working on a couple F-250's with the 6.8L's in them. I started to wonder if they evey got swapped into the Expeditions? A V10 Expy! sounds cool. I guess it would mean a reflash of the pcm depending on the year

I think a v10 would be a pretty cool swap. I've never been around them much but i've seen them roll the tires on 350 duallies. I am not sure on the dimensions, but it would be a pretty tight fit in the expy, but anything is possible with enough time and money.

that would be nice. not as heavy as the diesel but still just as big. be a nice tight fit but it would fit with some help. maybe a body lift for some added space. i haven't seen one so idk exactly.

You would need more than a reflash....you would need the V10 ECU. It might fit, but will be tight. An e-fan might be necessary too. Only one way to find out, and that's to just try it.

I looked into it and I guess it is the same width as a 5.4L. It is just a few inches longer. Most guys converted to an electric fan. Yes i need the V10 pcm and the engine harness.Just have to mate it too the Expedition harness. I heard that the intrument cluster from a super duty is needed. Then a custom rear driveshaft. The easiest way would be to strip a F-350 with the drivetrain intact.

But the guy that did the swap says he gets better mileage with the V10 then when he had the 5.4L in it. Plus it pulls like crazy with a trailer on his f-150. Off the line the truck performs better then a Navi 5.4L swap.

So now I am wondering do I want to do a navi 5.4L swap or a V10 swap? They both require alot of work but the V10 looks like it is less complicated.
