Well I just got done putting new plugs and wires on my 99 4.6 Expy and noticed the valve cover gaskets leak a little. I ordered some today, should be here tomorrow and I'm just looking for any tips on doing these (other than let a stealership do them). I got plenty of extensions and swivels and already plan on taking out the plastic inner fenders as that looks like an easy way to the bottom bolts. Any more tips?

I had to silicone a few areas at the back of each valve cover to keep the gasket in place. Otherwise it may roll out on you.

Thanks for the tip. Any more ideas guys?? It looks like on the drivers side I'm going to competing for space with the metal EGR pipe and on the pass. side it looks like that clusterf*** of heater and AC lines are going to give me hell.

If you can get the egr pipe off it will give you better access when placing the vc back on. If not try and loosen the where it connects to the exhaust manifold and swing it out of the way.
It is easier to remove the heater core hoses vs trying to fight with them in place. A/C lines can stay in place.
Don't over torque the bolts in the cover.
