weird issue

so i got up this morning went outside hopped in my expo and started it up after letting it warm up for a sec i put it n gear and i was on my way to get my morning coffee i came to a stop sign hit my brakes and my oil pressure gauge drops to zero and my low coolant light pops on after a second or 2 everything went back to normal it did this the next 2 times i hit the brakes then it only did it when i accelerated then it went away never did it again to be safe i checked all my fluids and they were all full any thoughts

I have heard that there is a certain solder on the back of the gauge cluster that can cause issues like that. My mom's 2000 has this thing where the oil pressure gauge randomly drops off while turning on the oil light. Seems to drive fine, and after restarting the truck it goes away. She also has problems with the digital mileage read-out turning on and off. We haven't had the opportunity to pull the dash and try the fix, but hopefully someone with some experience with it will post back. Good luck.

ill tear it out tommorrow and let u know what i find ill try to get some pics considering ur mom has the same year expo as me seems like a good place to start thanks

Most electronic problems are traceable to cold solder joints:

Notice the "break" around the lead and the solder. This is where the failure is located. Just need to reheat the joint and apply a little new solder.
