What are the different editions of Expys?

What are the different grades of Expeditions?

I know there are Limited, King Ranch, Eddie Bauer and others.

How do they rank in order of options and trim level?

Is the Limited the top of the line?

King Ranch and Limited are about equal I think. King Ranch has different leather and wheels, but the amenities are the same. I have a Limited, and I love it.

King Ranch is top (its real leather not the fake **** the Limiteds have) as a matter of fact Look at a king ranch from 2008 compared to a Limited 2012 with 8k miles on it. They will look the same in the wear department.

Its the "off road" edition. It has extra skid pkates and some other things. Plus I believe they are all 4×4

The KR since its introduction has always been at the top of the base price range. All models have offered as a 4X2 or 4X4. I vaguely remember a NBX Sport Package with rubber flooring or rubber mats somewhere along the way. They had a unique roof rack that I remember. In 03 I do not remember a KR or NBX being offered. I think NBX started on the Explorer then the next year on the Expedition in several versions depending on the base model started with.

My '03 Mercedes Benz ML350 had leather all the way around, the '06 Mercedes Benz ML350 had leather on the top of the front and rear seats. The '09 ML350 I had, had MB Tex, you really couldn't tell the difference between it and the leather.

It's real. Just a different grade. Do some checking on the KR and you'll see people had problems with it.

Ford uses different grades of leather in there vehicles.

Verona leather used in Expys ( Limited, EB, XLT.. )

Premium Soho leather in Navigators.

Castano leather in KR - 2008 and up use Chaparral Leather.

The KR uses uncoated leather on the entire seat whereas the Limiteds and others use coated leather on the seating surfaces only. I love the KR leather but I'm just not a fan of the color. If they did a version in black I would be all over it.
