I split the transfer case in the expedition. Have to get the rebuild kit to get this rebuilt. Then I looked for more motors decide to do a diesel going to be pulling with it a lot and want something that stands out. Then pulled the raptor in the garage.

replaced the front left wheel with the spare in a Walmart parking lot. This is the second time I have a flat this season. Two months ago I pulled a big shard of glass out of the right front tire, now I found a metal nail in the front left tire. Hope I'll have some time tomorrow to patch the tire and put the wheel back.

well, not really proud of what I did today...
was too lazy to clear the snow in my driveway before I backed out thinking "no problem, the truck can take it". The truck can take it alright, but the bumper not so much. That frozen ice ripped my bumper corner right off. Gonna be fun glueing all the pieces back in this frigid weather.

Changed the rear differential fluid...
Added new wiper blades...
Normal "new to me" stuff...

Changed the oil with new Mobil 1 5w30 High Mileage and Mobil 1 Filter (Autozone had a sale).
Changed the front differential with Royal Purple.
Changed the transfer case fluid.

The truck sounds a lot better... guessing the fluid in the transfer case and front diff had not been changed... EVER. The Expy only has 70K miles on it, but it is 14 years old. :)

Only downside is that I need new rear brakes (down to about 2mm) and need a right outer tie rod - never done one of those before.
I guess I should also change the fuel filter - any ideas on this one???

Replaced a spark plug and COP. Those suckers are not easy to do. I do not get how you could possibly reach the rear two on each side. I did the second one to the front on the passenger side (cyl 2) and that was tough, especially when its 10 degrees... I need smaller hands haha.

As the Beach Boys say, "Fun Fun Fun" today.

Changed the COP and Plug on cylinder number 8, thankfully it was 70 degrees here today. I am now not looking forward to changing number 4 anytime soon. And since I had some daylight left, changed the Oil with AMSoil 5W-20 full synthetic and changed the main and by-pass filters on the dual remote.

Pulled the dash back to swap out the heater core, blend door actuator and blend door. Wasn't as bad as I thought, bought some Dewalt 18v impacts for Christmas that made quick work of getting the screws out. That little 1/4" impact is BAD!!

Once the rain stops I'll pick back up on it.

Today I changed my PCV valve assembly and the heater hose that I broke in the process (the damn plastic quick detach part broke off at the firewall when I lightly bumped it).

Later this week, I plan to clean my MAF sensor perhaps give Gotts Mod a shot. I still am looking for the easiest way to shape the PVC to fit the oval hole in the fender though.

Put some new wheels and tires on her. Can't beat it for $300 off Craigslist. They had been on there for over a month and had misspelled Ford. I don't think anyone had even called them about them. They were asking $550 so I offered $300 and she took it. Even included a set of chrome wheel nuts and locks. The tires will need to be replaced in less than a year, but will more than get by through the rest of winter and next summer. I'm debating on keeping my stockers or trying to sell them for a few hundred and see if I can get out of this deal without spending a dime. Next up is the lowering springs.

A friend and I drove out to a FSR with snow to test the snow chains. Those heavy $#@! wore me out. Not only are the a boon to put on, the tension springs are also a bit of work. It took at least an hour to get the chains on with tension and still had a little slack.

With the rig on L1 and 4Lo it climbed a low grade on ice-pack under it own idle pwr for 200 yards or so before I gave it a little gas. I think 5mph is all I want to risk with these on.

I had to use the winch once for my rig before the chains and once for another vehicle.

I gave it a good bath and scubbin when I got back to town and called it a day.
