Added the led ghost lights to the interior lights so they come on when the door opens. I had an extra set so I took one and added it to the rear. It will be on with the park lights.

Tykins, your truck looks like a raptor with those lights in the push bar....NICE!!!!

Changed the light color from green to blue. Not as dark as I wanted it.. But better then green in my opinion. Going to just put blue LED bulbs in it and see if that works ok... I want the red in the temperature section to remain red.

Added 2 usb ports to the dash for charging phones or what have you. I am sick of having cigarette lighter adapters everywhere! This turns off with the key.

Added USB ports in the back center console in place of the 12v power point. Charges the kids deviced nicely. Picture is bad... I also need to clean up around it, still peices of plastic from drilling the hole.

Put in reverse camera that displays image on the rear view mirror.

Also got a Flowmaster Super 44 muffler installed. Sounds amazing!

Coming in the next few weeks...

Blue atmosphere lights (i have them, just trying to figure out a good easy place to wire them to turn on and off with headlights, fog lights or parking lights.

Changing all interior lights to blue, (speed cluster, rear climate controls, window up/down buttons) not the map lights and such, will be leaving them white.

This is what I have been doing, mostly insignificant, but exciting to me none the less.

We just replaced the air ride on my sons 1999 Eddie Bauer Expedition we purchased from the original owner last month. 122K miles and its perfect, now that the air ride is GONE. Ordered the replacement kit from PartsGeek for $197.00 including shipping. Took 6 hours to do the job but it now rides like a new one. We did see where all the bushings and the sway bar needs replacing but we will get to that later. For now it rides and drives like a champ. One question we have is how do we disable the " Suspension" light that is on now?

Billet grille cam in and installed. Also plsti-dipped the Taurus grill emblem. The front end turned out well I think. The bull bar will come off in the spring and be installed on my 2001 f150 7700.

I just installed a burnt out bulb on the cluster. I still have that annoying beep on start up and about every 45 minutes of continuous driving. 5 beeps in a row for 5 times. Still have to scouce that out.

I scored the factory Ford rear air deflector off a red expedition at the wreckers. $25. Still need to paint it from red to black. In the process of doing this.

Well had a bad starting issue that needed to be addressed. First crank of the day it didn't want to idle. So I talked to a friend who is a Ford certified technician and he told me probably needed to clean out the IAC and throttle body plus use my scanner and a laser temperature gauge aimed at the head and make sure the head temp sensor was registering correctly. Well turns out the head sensor and the gauge sensor weren't so replaced both of those and cleaned up both the IAC and throttle body. Also due to the mods (78mm TB, bigger injectors, dual exhaust, and k&n CAI) to unplug the battery to let the pcm reset in case the PO didn't. So while I was changing the sensors and cleaning the TB and IAC I left the battery cables off. The TB and IAC looked like they hadn't been cleaned ever in the whole trucks life. Well I did all that yesterday (Fri) and went out this morning to give it the true test and sure enough she fired up and purred like a happy cat. Now I've got to replace the t-stat cause with my gauge working I noticed it's sticking open and not letting the truck fully warm up. Oh well compared to my old rover I'll take these issues any day of the week. Oh also put a new serpentine belt on cause the old one had ribs missing and weather cracks that made the grand canyon look small. Anyways that was my first fun filled work day with my expy now when the snow and weather clear up I'll giver her a good bath and get the road grime off.

Got the air deflector installed and picked up a rear view mirror from a lincoln. Auto dim, with built in compass and LED reading/courtesy lights. Found the wiring code for both my 97 expy and the 2004ish lincoln continental. Soldered everything up, works great. Just need it to turn dark for a true test run.

Expo mods

Since I've had my expo I've done new headlights and fog lights and also I've done the whole front bumper in bed liner as a project in school.
Right now I'm trying to get rid of it. Being in school and not really making any money is killing me in gas

Replaced the rear window seal with my 10 year old niece, first little project to get her feet wet workin on cars. Someone had left the window up with it not in the seal correctly and pinched the top part badly enough for long enough that even bending it back and letting the TX sun bake it for a year did not get it back in to shape. Replaced it with a nice pliable one at a junk yard for like 10 bucks. Could not for the life of me find a single OD button trim piece piece out of 15 to pick from, all gone or broken. Wish my 97 had a 3rd row seat, looks like my only option would be to weld in a rear floor that has the mounts for it, not worth the trouble i don't think...

Finally got back to my expy today after two months of training, new wiper blades after the old ones falling to pieces, 3/4 gallon of coolant and a qt of oil and she's happy as ever, although I have to say it feels like driving a sports car after being in this for 12k miles
