Was just over on the tech page reading some of the walk-throughs, and it got me thinking...what fun little mods could I do as a noob to pop my cherry on DIY while not putting myself in a position to do too much damage to my expy? I'd like to learn my way around the truck, but not at the expense of doing harm to her! Thoughts / comments welcomed!

read a lot of crappy things about night shade over on the F150 forums...

Yea, if you don't clear, wetsand and buff them. Just follow one of the write ups, and it should turn out fine. Have you ever painted with spray paint before? Wetsanded?

Or, I suppose you could just take it to a body shop and have them spray with with clear. If they had a couple drops of black in there, you won't even have to Night Shade them.

either that or I have used RC-Car window tint made for the lexan bodies. You can pick it up at any local hobby shop for about $3.50 a can. And yea, wet sand after a few hours and spray some clear over it and your done. Total cost is about $25 bucks, or you could do like ^-------- post and take it to a body shop, they might charge you like $50-100 but it might turn out better and will add a nice NOTICEABLE touch to your expy. You know... I'd be interested in doing some lighting mods... My only problem is that I can't figure out where the power strip is to plug them in... :hmm:

Alright I'll do the K&N then. Is there a walk-through posted somewhere on here and will one of you pros give me you cell phone so i can trouble shoot along the way (I just KNOW i'll run into problems). As for the lights I was actually thinking of sending my tail lights off to this guy link (his site is down right now).
