For anyone that has used these head rests, they are great for my kids, but the expy has a bit of an issue. I have literally been using these for years, but just found out a couple weeks ago that the headrest design on the 2nd row is a pain in the but. I found out that the headrests were completely loose and would have flown off in an accident but I came up with a pretty simple solution. As you can tell in the pics, the expy has only one adjustment notch on the headrests, which is completely dumb. So I made a second one. My kids love the retractable headrests, they fall asleep in them all the time. Wish they didn't rattle as bad as they do though.

Can you elaborate a little on how you put the extra notches in?

What model do you have, as my 2019 Expy Plat 2nd row headrests have multiple notches and are solid.

Yup, I pulled the headrests out completely from the vehicle, and used an angle grinder to cut the holes, then used a hand file to make sure they were a little smoother with no sharp edges. I actually used the width of the tip of the file as a guide for the distance between notches. was roughly 7/8".

So tired of the painful removal of dog hair off the back of the second row. Really wish the fabric was something different that didn't attract and hold on to dog hair so much and I searched and searched for someone that made something like this, for just the back of the 2nd row. there's stuff out there for the back of the 3rd row, which I already have, but i couldn't really find anything for the 2nd row. So I picked up a roll of black diamond plate floor material, traced out and cut some of it, then put some velcro on the back.

My first attempt didn't go well, I relied on just the adhesive on the velcro and it looked great, until the next day when I was parked outdoors in some heat. the adhesive let go immediately. 2nd time around I used some construction grade hot glue from Surebonder, we'll see if that works. If that doesn't, then I'll have to resort to adding something more structural. I wanted to use plastic rivets, but they stick out way too much on the back.

So far so good, we'll see how it goes.

This week I decided I should replace the OEM tires, and get a new paint job on the rear driver's side door and quarter panel. So I found a nice cable lying in the middle of the highway, sank it into the rear left tire and took it for a whirl /s

Finally switched out the wheels on my 2021 XLT and I love it! I'm a 45yo mom of teens driving a 2WD truck so I didn't feel the need for aggressive tires. I did vinyl on the grill and black lettering on the tailgate not long after I got it last July.
