Someone needs to do a write up on the Gotts mod on this board! How do you guys' programmers stack up?? I had one on my Super duty and wasn't real impressed. Helped the tranny shifting, but that was about it

K&N drop in, catback dual exhaust with 3 1/2 tips. I haven't done the gotts mod yet, but once I get the supplies, I can do a write up if nobody has.

Ebay CAI, throttle body spacer, new COPS and plugs, Flowmaster 70 series DI/SO, rear cat delete, Y pipe delete and Edge CS on level 3 running premium.

Can definatley feel the difference on the butt dyno, and with the Edge on level 3 I picked up 4 MPG. I went from 15 average to 19 average and that is interstate driving at 80mph (hand calculated not the overhead average). It takes a few good drive cycles to really start seeing a difference on the economy but once you set a tune and leave it for a bit you will see the improvment. If you keep changing tunes the computer is constantly relearning and your economy will suffer.

COP stands for Coil On Plug and since there are 8 of them that is where COPs comes from.

The cat delete is exactly what you think. The first gen's (not sure about newer) have 4 Catalytic converters, you can remove the rear 2 for more power and it will not set off a check engine light.

I would think it would give you slightly better MPGs since your exhaust will flow better.

so i need to see my local exhaust shop...

Normally a local exhaust shop will NOT remove two cats because it is against the law for them to do it. You can however find private mechanics that will or a buddy with welding skills that can do it.

You will pick up a little milage but not much. The main thing it is good for is better power at the top end so it will not shift out of overdrive as much.

Jetchips thermostat and front 2 cats deleted (done by previous owner im just glad i was nosey enough to find out) i just cleaned it up and put tire shine under the hood, underneath i have flowmaster 40's muffler and a y pipe after the muffler for duals out the side with custom tips. Removing cats and putting exaust does increase mpg however we will never see it because it sounds so damn good that somehow our feet get heavier and were back to square one.... Just by my research anyway
