I'm seeing a lot of New 2024s Stealths sitting on lots unsold in the 250 mile radius of my home zip.
Middle of May 2025...when do the steep discounts start?

A couple I saw had build dates of February and March 2024!

Is more than 20% off MSRP possible?

First post... Greetings everyone.

Best deals were after September '24 or before April '25. Now, you'd be hard-pressed to find one over 13k off MSRP for non-demos.

After June 2nd, when retail customer cash expires, prices may stagnate, then go down as summer winds down.

If you find one that you REALLY like, I'd settle for anything over 10k off now.

So there were better deals last fall than this employee pricing gimmick?
That's all it is, a gimmick.... those marketing guys, gotta luv 'em :)

How do I know this ?

Cause I have a friend that is a GM at a Ford stealership, both he and the sales manager told me that Ford (or any car company) will NEVER, EVER, publicly disclose how much their employees REALLY pay for vehicles...

OTOH, discounts are discounts, regardless of what they choose to call them, so get 'em while they're hot....

Last week, I was car shopping with/for my son, and saw a pair of new '24 Max's over in the corner of the lot, with a "$15k off" sign in the windshield.... of course, my question was $15k off of WHAT - MSRP or some other made up price ??, to which I never got a straight answer from 2 different people, so take that for what you will :D

Just for reference; a year ago I got my leftover 23. It was about $8000 below window sticker and they gave my 1.9% financing, so I jumped on it. It seems like the market is worse now for the sellers than it was a year ago. I would expect a better deal today, but not sure they can work with interest rates as much now.

My 2024 was built in November 2023. It was used by the dealership VP as his personal vehicle and had never been titled. It also had been used as a loaner and it had sat on the lot quite a bit. I bought it in January 2025 as a new vehicle with about 3,400 miles on it.

I got $8,000 in Ford incentives plus a $2,000 Ford customer coupon plus $6,000 dealer discount. They gave me KBB value for my trade-in. I think I bought at the right time.

ETA: Forgot that mine came with the stock carpet mats plus the Ford all-weather mats. And, the dealership threw in a full-synthetic oil change.

Same here. Dealer VIP SUV with 10k on the clock and treated me very good with my trade in too. Got my fully loaded SPP for 20k off sticker, plus some lil extra stuff like rubber floor mats and the awesome stick on cargo liner. The only thing my SUV didn't come with were the CCD shocks.

I've got wheels I'm able to use for now so I guess I'll wait... I've got no trade/don't want financing/just a cash deal. Yes, I am spec hunting - No, I'm not taking employee pricing or 10K off MSRP as a good deal - it simply isn't. 20K is better but not for something that's been sitting for 16 months, demo or not. I also think those MSRPs were nonsensical when you look at new/what folks are paying...

10K off on my 2024. I bought mine right when employee pricing was coming out. The dealer stated that the employee price would be more than what I paid.
If you do a nationwide search on cargurus, you can see how much dealers are discounting the 24s.

16K off is getting closer... I gotta believe having one sit for 16 months is no good. I have no trade in/no finance requirements/cash deal.

I've driven vehicles that had sat on the lot so long that the brake rotors were too rusted for the pads to clean off the rust. I wouldn't buy a vehicle like that. The Expedition I bought appeared to have been driven frequently.

Use the dealer's financing to get a better deal then pay off the note in a few months.
This...is how you may be able to work the lowest price out the door. Dealer financing and then use your cash to quickly pay off the note. Remember, price out the door is the number you want to negotiate. Any other kind of numbers are all smoke and mirrors.

This is exactly what my wife & I did with her new Acadia a few years ago, since we had the insurance money from when her previous vehicle was totaled out...still no trade to deal with, but we were already pre-approved for financing at ~5%/60 mo, and ended up getting the new Acadia for $7.5k less than we would have if we had paid with cash... made no sense to us, but it was what it was....

We made few payments as scheduled, took a short vacation, then paid it off shortly afterwards. This also pushed our credit scores up by over 50 points (which was already pretty high), so it was a win-win-win for us :D

We bought our 2024 Expy MAX Limited in late February 2025 and got the -$7000 Ford Cash (but had to pay Sales Tax on that -$7000 Ford Cash) plus a dealer -$4127 discount (no Sales Tax on that -$4127). But, our crooked Fullerton Ford CA Dealer tried to screw us with a (switch) 6.9% - 5 Yr. loan w/ Chase Bank (but had advertised a 1.9% - 36 Mo. Loan, in their on-line ad) and added in a 5 yr/60K Premium Care warranty for $4800 without our knowledge nor approval. We had to argue to get the Warranty removed from the contract and then financed through my wifes' Credit Union, instead. NOT honest or honorable people there! So, it was nice to get those discounts (-$11,127.00) but a REAL HASSLE to have to go through the dealer finance drill! So, look out for their hidden scams, at some crooked dealerships! We just love the car though and are happy we purchased it. Since then, I have seen a few - $7K Ford + - $6k Dealer = -$13K total discounts. I don't really know for sure but I don't think these Expy's are flying out of the dealerships right now. If you are a knowledgeable, do your homework and a good negotiator, I do think there are some good deals to be made, out there. Good luck!

Just an FYI, I was at a nearby ford stealership this morning and saw 3x '24 Max's that had tags in the windshield that said "MSRP $88,371, - OUR discount $11K, - Ford cash $2K = total price $75,371" + title, tax, tags etc, so basically ~$78K +/- out the door....:)

I bought my new 2024 King Ranch for 20K off of MSRP. I know this is correct because I shopped a good bit for one and I knew my trade value and I know the difference I paid and I have the window sticker. But it was a program truck that they drove people to work in if they left their car...also probably used as a courtesy vehicle some.

I traded my 2017 Expedition XLT in on it. I shopped about 6 weeks before deciding on this one. I am a new member here also.
