Its rather simple But maybe to much for your brain to figure out You show a picture for something made for a 2017 F250/350 that you want for your '09 expy SSV

Would be better if you found something that would be for your '09 expy SSV
Very simple Keep looking till you find the ones made for your expy
Or modify those and make them fit

The short, helpful answer is I don't know. If you've done your homework and the length is right you may or may not have issues matching up the bolt holes, also the steps my not work well with the door placement - it will be slightly different. If you physically look at it and you can line everything up properly, go for it. If you can't look at it in person you're gambling.

I'm the new kid on the block here and I don't know the person who replied but it seems to me that if you don't have anything good to say you shouldn't bother to reply.

Pics of improvised installs of various boards and bars exist, but never an explanation

You would have a better chance for anything from a 2014 or Earlier F-150 fitting. Nothing for a Super Duty will even come close to fitting your 99. Logic and basic physical sizing tells you that...

If you know someone who welds mounting tabs should be pretty easy. Go rhino I think it is makes steps like that too. They both have steps for 150s... I had go rhino dominators in black on my titan. Got um to help hide the body lift. Good luck on ur mish

The guy changed his ad, now it says 2017 F150

My expy is 2009 not 1999

Either way, same statement applies. The 15+ F150's are different than the 14's and before. Our Expy's are more closely related the the 14's. The 18+ Expy's are closer related to the 17 F-150's.

You CAN make nearly anything to anything...might be as simple as welding a couple of piece of 4" wide x 1" tall channel iron or it may be much more complicated. You will have to decide if its worth it once you know what's involved.

In short, it you can't find an exact fit online, as I'm guessing that you couldn't....go down to the local :Trucks-R-Us"(Truck customize shop) and see what they have. Typically, the guys there will take one out of the box for you, take it outside and show you how to fit it to your truck because they know that anything can be made to fit anything else too!

Don't get caught in the "oh no, it doesn't show a direct fit so it will never work" crowd....they lack imagination!

I am merely trying to push him in the direction of something that has a better chance of fitting. Start with something that is at least close!
