This is why we envy the southern trucks. These are a few pics of my rocker panels. I put the truck on the lift, took of the running boards and this is what I have to deal with. I am ordering the 2 rocker panels from PMP in Pa. They only have for the Crew Cab F-150 for $125 each so I will get those and cut them to fit. I will put those on then put on the 4 new doors I have and hopefully get another 2-3 years out of the truck. I will hope for more but if I get that I will be happy. The truck only has 108K on it and runs like a champ

Passengers side, although it looks like there is some metal still there it comes right off as soon as you touch it

Mine are looking like that too. Not quite as far along as yours are but they are starting to swiss cheese up a little. Also noticed when I removed my running boards...

Those approx 1.25 inch holes are perfect for fogging with anti corrosion oil. When I did mine, it looked like a concert fog machine with the oil fog coming out of every crevice.

I have an 99 F150 crew cab and it looks just like that. I live in Southern WI and they like to dump the salt down here. We are getting our parts from Brown in the Maintowoc area for about the same price. My Expedition is not as bad but has started. And fogging with anything that fights against rust helps but i tell you it not once and done thing.

Absolutely,
I will hit it four times a year.
