What's under the little hatch cover in back?

Hi,

I'm new here. We've been looking at Expeditions. We've spotted a nice 2016 Expy Limited. I was curious about what's under the small hatch cover on the LH side in the rear behind the 3rd row seats.

There's a silverish metal cylinder with several metal lines connected to it that look like brake lines to me under this cover.

Is this part of the suspension? Part of the brake system?

That hatch gives access to the powered lift gate mechanism.

Isn't there a suspension compressor in there on some models? I don't have it on mine though. I have a '14 EL LTD...

The suspension compressor, at least on my previous '08 Nav, was in the LF fender/ engine compartment.

Take note of that little door. Your fuel pump reset is in there in case you ever need to use it. You can also stash stuff in there if you want to.
