I did the rears on my '05. You need to get the free
rental slide hammer from local parts store. In my case,
here in NY, it's Advanced Auto or Autozone where they
hold the replacement cost on your credit card until
you return the tool.
I had my own heavy duty slide hammer, but I needed
the yoke which uses 3 of the 6 studs. This was in their
slide hammer kit. Plenty of PB Blaster or Kroil, maybe
sitting overnight. Banging out the bejesus out of it, the hub/
cassette will eventually pull out.
It's important to remove all the rust and spray new hub with antiseize before re installing. My rear hubs were so warn that the ABS light was on and malfunctioning from false readings of the wobbly hubs. Problem solved with new hubs. This thread looks to be a couple of weeks old, but I hope someone can still use the advice,
and a happy New Year to all.

Thanks for all the info everyone. I'm about to try doing this on my 2004 expedition. I looked all over YouTube for a video but I never found one yet so maybe if I remember before I start I'll try to do one. If I can manage to do it without every other word being a cuss word lol.
